Barbara has been a complementary therapist and been practising the holistic healthcare for over 30 years. Barbara’s is based in her complementary therapy centre in Euxton, Lancashire. Barbara is a fully qualified clinical reflexologist, trained with Ann Gillanders in 1991 at the British School of Reflexology (Essex). To provide more opportunity to help a wider range of conditions, although specialising in Reflexology, Barbara is now also fully qualified in Aromatherapy, Swedish massage, Indian Head Massage (also known as Champissage or Eastern Head Neck and Shoulder Massage), Hopi Ear Candling (also known as Thermo-Auricular Therapy and Reiki healing

• The British School of Reflexology (MBSR)
• The Association of Reflexologists (MAR)
• The Federation Of Holistic Therapists (MFHT)

These organisations all set standards for reflexology and complementary therapy training and have ‘Codes of Ethics and Practice’ to ensure a high degree of professional integrity and healthcare standards. These Codes of Conduct are strictly followed, thus providing peace of mind when seeking treatment. Total professionalism and confidentiality are assured at all times.

Complementary Therapies

  • Reflexology

    Aromatherapy is the holistic and therapeutic use of essential oils to enhance and improve physical and emotional well-being. Essential oils are fragrant, naturally occcurring, volatile liquids extracted from flowers, leaves, seeds, roots, fruits and woods.

    Indian Head Massage or ‘Champissage’ has been a tradition with Asian people for thousands of years.
  • Reiki Healing
    With its origins in Japan, Reiki is an healing art based on working with, and channelling energy. Reiki promotes healing on all levels, physical, mental and spiritual.
  • Swedish Remedial Massage
    Swedish massage may help to release muscular tension, boost circulation, aid in the alleviation of stress and help with the healing process after injuries.
  • Hopi Ear Candles (Thermo-Auricular Therapy)
    Hopi Ear candles are named after the Hopi’s who were the first Pueblo Indians of North America. Hopi means peaceful people, and the Hopi’s were renowned for their extensive knowledge of healing and deep spirituality.
